Virtual dusk creates a twilight image from any external daytime photograph — producing the moody, warmly lit exterior that dusk photography is known for, at a more economical price and without a second visit to the property.
How it works
Urban Angles' post-production team transforms a daytime exterior into a dusk scene: sky, ambient light and window glow are reworked so the home reads as photographed at twilight. It's provided as an added option alongside daytime Base Photography and priced per image.
Indicative pricing
From $70 inc GST per image as an indicative real estate rate — against a real dusk attendance at from $200 inc GST. For a single hero image, virtual dusk is the cheaper route by a clear margin. Rates for other engagement types are confirmed at booking.
Virtual dusk or a real dusk shoot?
Both have their place:
- Virtual dusk — economical, no second attendance, works from any daytime external already in the campaign
- Dusk shoot — captures the property as it genuinely presents at twilight; ideally suited to well-presented homes with great internal and external lighting, where the real thing rewards the extra investment

Choosing the right frame
Virtual dusk works best on a clean, well-composed external with visible windows and an uncluttered sky — those are the elements the treatment has to work with. A tightly framed shot with no sky, or an exterior in heavy shadow, gives it less to convert.
